Young Greatness has quickly become the most exciting QC The Label signee outside of the almighty Migos. Since releasing the sentimental Jazze Pha collaboration, "Moolah," he's had our attention, and his debut tape, I Tried To Tell Em delivers on the promise of the single. Throughout, Greatness demonstrates his versatility, seamlessly switching from a Migos-esque triplet flow, to a more barreling punchline-based rhythm reminiscent of Gunplay at his most energetic.
Still, his experiments with melody remain some of the most memorable moments, and "Take Me Alive," finds him weaving in and out of some hooky flows, with a confident baritone that would make Snootie Wild proud.
These bitches hatin' on a nigga, let a nigga ball
Don't run your mouth, talkin' 'bout
Where that money?
I came with my partnas, shoot like an army
I chop at your partner, get at your homie
