Wale and Anthony Hamilton unite on for "The Birth Of A Nation" soundtrack.

The Birth Of A Nation, the film that follows the story of Nat Turner, will open nationwide next week, but a few tracks from the soundtrack have been released in advance. The collection of songs inspired by the film includes contributions from Pusha T, Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, Nas, K. Michelle, Gucci Mane, The Game, and more. So far we've heard a record from 2 Chainz, as well as a collab between Meek Mill and Pusha T.

Now we've received "Live Forever," which brings together DC rapper Wale and celebrated R&B crooner Anthony Hamilton. The song combines the themes of the film with Wale's own experiences, as he raps about the importance of being there to support his daughter.

Quotable Lyrics:
Study in school, watch out for cooties in the law department
Hey, I coulda kept my scholarship but hey
And I could of been a robber couldn't I have? Yeah
A 4.5 40, or a 45 40, either way I run for my defense
