Watch Vince Staples' new video for "Fire."

The EP that Long Beach MC Vince Staples released last week, Hell Can Wait, is one of the year's most consistently thrilling projects. Though less than 25 minutes in length, it showcased a well-defined sound and vibe, as well as blood-chillingly descriptive lyrics about growing up in a rough neighborhood. Today, the intro track, "Fire," gets a video.

The track is extremely grimy, which is true of almost the entire project, and its video has Staples entering a Catholic church and going to confession. The lyrics "I'm prolly finna go to Hell anyway" create an intriguing juxtaposition that's just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the conflicted persona Staples presents on the EP.

If you haven't already, go cop Hell Can Wait now.
