A week ago news broke that Vince Staples would lead the vocals in the animated film MFKZ retitled in English from an edition of Guillaume "Run" Renard and Shōjirō Nishimi's Mutafukaza. The movie, that also features vocals from Dascha Polanco, RZA, Danny Trejo and Kenn Michael follows Angelino and Vinz who discover they have superpowers and use them to fight crime in an L.A. inspired city setting.
The movie hits select U.S. theatres next week and in celebration, an exclusive clip has been released that shows just a little bit of the drama and action the lead characters find themselves in.
"This is a blistering, genre-breaking animated film for adults, unlike anything that has come before. We are thrilled with the voice cast and can’t wait to share this film with audiences on October 11th," GKIDS (animation company) founder and CEO Eric Beckman said.
