After Lonzo Ball was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the #2 pick in last week's NBA Draft, an ESPN reporter asked Lonzo's father LaVar what he expects in his son's rookie season.

Wearing his purple and gold Big Baller Brand hat, LaVar proudly told ESPN,

“I’m going to tell you what: Lonzo Ball is going to take the Lakers to the playoffs his first year,” LaVar Ball told ESPN. “Come see me when he does. I’ll have another hat on that say, ‘I told you so.’”

And LaVar isn't the only one expecting Lonzo to burst onto the scene and immediately turn the Lakers around.

The Game, who has praised LaVar and his sons in the past, took things a step further, telling TMZ that Lonzo is going to deliver a championship next season, adding, "Lonzo don't need no help."

The Lakers had the third worst record in the league last season, finishing 26-56.
