Sy Ari Da Kid clearly reaped the benefits of his "wire transfer from Birdman," and came through with a dope followup mixtape 2 Weeks No Diss. The New York artist has been silently putting the game on lockdown over the past quarter, setting thing off with solid album 2Soon, and now bringing out a fifteen track project two months later. While Sy Ari has yet to really explode as a household name in the mainstream, his consistent work ethic and keen ear for melodies and beats set him apart from the run-of-the-mill mixtape rapper.

Hell, Sy Ari managed to secure a bag from the Cash Money mogul himself, Birdman. And while the artist formerly known as Baby has faced criticism for his ongoing on again/off again legal dispute with Lil Wayne, he seems to doing alright by Sy Ari. Either way, the music has yet to be compromised, as evidenced by standout cut "Bet Some."

Right away, you know it's going to be good when you see TM88's name in the production credits. The producer has already been attached to one of 2017's biggest jams ("XO Tour Life") and has been developing into a household name. The Atlanta producer shares the load with TEAUXNY, and together they concoct an ominous trap banger over which Sy Ari gladly flexes.

The climax comes complete with a tempo switch, which kicks Sy Ari's flow up a notch. Prior, the lyricist was somewhat phoning it in, relying largely on charisma and gravitas. Once the beat fires up, Sy absolutely goes in, which will guarantee to get your head nodding. Do yourself a favor and give this one a track, especially if you're looking to discover a new and versatile up-and-comer.

As stated earlier, Sy Ari's ear is pretty great, and dude can handle both hip-hop and more melodic vibes with an accomplished finesse. Do yourself a favor and do not sleep.

Quotable Lyrics

Got your ho givin' high fives
She already know the wifi
She gon' pull up to mi casa
I'ma make her do the cha-cha
