Smoke DZA makes a big return with "I Got Kids."

Fans of Smoke DZA didn't get too much new music in 2015, and indeed, it seems that the RFC leader had some more important things to attend to, as suggested by the title of his new record, "I Got Kids." But his new track in no way signifies that he's gone soft -- quite the opposite.

DZA delivers a flurry of attitude-heavy bars over the simmering DJ Relly Rell production, proving that his skills are still very much in tact and that his fatherhood duties have only made him more of a man, and less tolerant of the bullshit. "I Got Kids" is just the type of raw Harlem street music fans expect from DZA, and we hope he's got plenty more coming in 2016.

Quotable Lyrics

My son took my Rollie to school for show & tell
I kinda had to laugh, but still I gave him hell
Don't touch what you can't spell
Overseas poppin', name ring bells
Label on my dick for the single
And without radio airplay
Kids still stop me on the street, it be melee
