Skooly returns a month later with a brand new EP out on 2Chainz' label.

2 Chainz signee Skooly is ready to make a splash outside of his native Atlanta. He follows February's Don't You Ever Forget Me with the 2nd coming of the project, a short appendage bearing similar fruit. Strangely enough, in last night's premiere of Atlanta, "He said he got more bars than Skooly" is uttered in reference to a new character zoning in on Paper Boi's success. Don't read into it, you might be deceived by his understated quality.

Highly apparent by the sound of it, Skooly credits Young Thug with his lyrical assonance. Songs like "Backstreet Boy" demonstrate a willingness to reverberate tone. Skooly intends on keeping a steady workrate throughout the year. He had this to say regarding his brief hiatus.

"I dropped my first album a while ago and it did well and I sold out my first concert double. I’m back, I’m here, and you can never forget me. To all the people I've helped, there’s no way they can forget me. I’ve been known to wait a long time to release projects but I’m jumping out of that rhythm to do this, like a 1, 2, 3 punch, back to back to back. I’m on a different path, I’m here, I’m not playing."

The Mixtape is distributed through 2 Chainz's TRU imprint. Give it a listen and give us your thoughts on how stacks up.
