We didn't see this one coming, though, knowing the forward-thinking styles of both Rome Fortune and Tunji Ige, this collab shouldn't be too surprising. Rome Fortune continues to have a busy 2015, just releasing a joint mixtape with CeeJ of Two-9, and Tunji is still riding the success of his HNHH-endorsed mixtape The Love Project. We're glad these two distinct voices came together on "Spotlight", an ATL x Philly collab that's both weird and wonderful.
For the most part, Rome does the singing with Tunji rapping, though the lines are frequently blurred. The production is a slo-mo atmospheric production from Ben Pramuk and Noah Breakfast. The track is club-inspired, though you'll quickly realize it's deep enough for repeat headphone listens.
