Due to Ross's assault, the victim can no longer eat solid food.

Earlier today (June 25), we reported that Rick Ross was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and kidnapping. Ross's bodyguard was also arrested on the latter two charges.

According to authorities, the original incident took place on June 7, when Ross and James took the victim, a groundskeeper on Ross's Fayetteville, GA estate, into Ross's guesthouse, where the assault took place. Ross reportedly hit the groundskeeper with a 9mm handgun causing multiple neck and jaw injuries. Police say, due to Ross's beating, the victim has "lost use of his jaw and is restricted to soft foods and liquid diet only as a result of not being able to chew food."

During an initial hearing, Ross and James were both denied bond; thus they will remain in Fayette County Jail until they go before a superior court judge on July 1.

The motives behind the kidnapping and ensuing assault are still unclear. We'll be sure to update you as details of the case unfold.
