Rich Gang may be defunct, but Rich Homie Quan still knows how to make music as glossy and melodic as 2014 summer anthem, "Lifestyle". "Stay Down" recalls the uplifting piano chords of the single, and Quan greets it with some of his most inspired pop songwriting yet, structuring the track like one big hook, and if Fetty Wap is any proof, it's a successful formula.
Meanwhile, Rich The Kid plays the role of Monty, providing more of a bridge than a verse, and giving us a necessary change-up from the almost overwhelming sugariness of the rest of the record. We see this one sticking around long past Valentine's Day.
