Rexx Life Raj keeps the leaks flowing, as he gears up for a new album. At the beginning of June he released "Handheld GPS," and now a couple of weeks he's right back at it with the release of "On Ice." These two records, alongside "Young Wardell," will all land on Rexx's album Father Figure. The album is currently available for iTunes pre-order (link below), with a release date slated for June 24th.
"On Ice" is an all-around smooth affair, from production to hook to verses. There's nothing too rambunctious about this song, it's the kind of record you'll listen to while smoking/winding down/whatever it is you do to relax at the end of the day. There's a trio of producers behind the boards, Mikos Da Gawd, Ekzakt and Ian McKee, who cook up lullaby-esque production with the only distraction being bouts of clapping. Meanwhile, Rexx and ymtk rap about the women they're currently feeling.
