Rae Sremmurd call upon the King of Crunk Lil Jon for a lethal party-starter, "Set the Roof," produced by DJ Mustard and Mike Will Made-It.

Despite a series of delays, there's still immense anticipation surrounding the release of Rae Sremmurd's SremmLife 2. A huge new track off the album has now surfaced ahead of its release on Friday (Aug. 12 -- a date that should stick). "Set the Roof" features Lil Jon and is produced by the club-crushing duo of DJ Mustard and Mike Will Made-It, the latter whom will oversee the production of SremmLife 2

Rae Sremmurd's new-wave club sound is partly an evolution of ATL trap, but more so on the preceding genre of crunk, the King of which drops the hook on "Set the Roof." Ten years after "Snap Yo Fingers," he still knows how to send the club up in smoke. As for the Sremm bros, they ditch the hazy melodicism of the other SremmLife 2 singles for party raps of the most enraged variety. It's been a minute since Swae rapped like this. And Jxmmi might even one-up him. What a banger. Gleefully excited/a little scared to experience this one in a properly annihilated state of mind.

Quotable Lyrics

Two bad bitches swimmin' in my bed
Off with their head, off, off with their head
Young Slim fuckin' bitches in my infrared
Come and hit the propane, I just lit the gas
Young wild niggas, livin' fast
