OVO Sound Radio went up in a major way this past weekend. With three exclusives from French Montana -- the "Lockjaw" remix, the Maaly Raw-produced "Two Times," and his collab with Drake, "No Shopping" -- you'd be forgiven for checking out before the special guest mix, which came from the hottest star in dancehall, Popcaan, with whom Drizzy has established a strong partnership.
Poppy's mix was peppered with exclusives as well, and though some of them were intended for serious dancehall heads, he also shared a couple of reworks of songs from Drake's latest blockbuster, VIEWS. In addition to a remixed version of the "One Dance" dubplate that he had already unveiled at the Culture Clash in London last month, Popcaan also used his OVO Sound set to drop some wicked flows atop the "Hype" riddim, which was originally constructed by the all-star team of Boi-1da, Nineteen85, The Beat Bully, and Cubeatz.
If Drake gets a chance to hop on the decks at this year's Caribana, he's gotta drop this "Hype" exclusive from his Unruly brother.
