This summer, Pharrell and Al Gore will be putting on a concert called "Live Earth" to promote environmental consciousness.

It's no secret that Pharrell has been making huge moves in music for more than a decade now, but recently, he seems to have expanded his aim to encompass global and political issues. The latest indication of this is the announcement of a series of concerts called "Live Earth" which will take place on June 18th across seven continents.

ABC reports that Pharrell and former vice president Al Gore will be putting on the concerts "to build support for a U.N. climate pact in Paris among more than 190 nations in December."

At the World Economic Forum on Wednesday, Pharrell said the aim is "to have a billion voices with one message - to demand climate action now."
