And the YMCMB signees just keep getting stranger and stranger. Today, the ever-expanding record label, with plans to dominate all genres of music, announced the signing of heiress Paris Hilton.
Paris Hilton has been associated with the YMCMB crew in the past. She's linked up with Lil Wayne for her song "Last Night" last year, she partied with Weezy on her birthday back in March, and more recently, the socialite appeared in the music video for Birdman's "Tap Out." Now Paris' association with the crew has been locked in, officially.
Paris Hilton announced the news of her signing to Showbiz411, saying that she hopes to have a follow-up to her 2006 debut with a new album this summer. Paris explained that her new album will be a lot more EDM content-wise, with hip-hop features, including labelmate Weezy F. "This is a lot different than my first album," Paris said. "It's really going to be house music."
Birdman took to Twitter today to confirms the news.
