After being “back on his bullshit” a couple weeks ago, Papoose decided to kick off 2017 by releasing a new “Obituary” for the year 2016. Over the jazzy instrumental, Remy’s husband pays homage to some of the greats who left us in 2016, including Muhammed Ali, Phife Dawg, Shawty Lo, Craig Sager, & the late Prince among others.

“All of us weren’t fortunate enough to see the new year,” he wrote on Instagram. “Let’s take this time to send condolences to those who didn’t make it. Unfortunately, every year I release this track to pay my respects as an artist and as a human being.”

Take a listen and let us know what you think. Pap’s Hoodie Season 3 tape is coming soon.

Quotable Lyrics:

They said why when somebody die
It's always kind words said
Cause you never supposed to speak ill of the dead
Take these bars and play them in the cemetery
This is the 2016 obituary
