HNHH was so impressed by Montana of 300's lyrical tenacity that we decided to bring him up to our office to spotlight him for our On The Come Up series.
Montana told us about growing up in Chicago, developing his craft, and his decision to pursue a rap career over a football career. He talked about how the film "300" inspired his name and his rise from his first big video, "Chiraq (Remix)", to getting a part on "Empire" and meeting Chris Rock, Rick Rubin, & Kanye West. Kanye told Montana that the "Chiraq (Remix)" had "more cold bars [than] any song he'd ever heard in his life."
Montana also let is on some details from his Fire in the Church album due out this spring, including some intriguing features ... Watch out!!
