The last we heard from Nappy Roots, they had linked up with Funk Volume's Jarren Benton for "No Idea". Today, they return with yet another new offering from their proposed comeback album, The 40 Akerz Project, which is set to be produced entirely by SMKA.
"Hazy" marks a new campaign in which the group will release a new record every Friday. It's unclear if all of these songs will make the record, but either way there will be plenty of new content from the group in the near future.
Interest in Nappy Roots was reignited when their 2008 single "Good Day" was featured prominently in the 2014 comedy Neighbors.
