After hearing a preview last month, Machine Gun Kelly decides to come through today & share his new song with X Ambassadors and Bebe Rexha called “Home,” off Will Smith’s upcoming Netflix blockbuster, Bright.

MGK says he wrote his portion of the track on the same day he found out Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington had died of suicide. “My original verses were a little too dark because of where my lyrics were stemming from, so I re-wrote and re-recorded my verses 13 times until we got the one we wanted,” said Kelly. “Bebe and X Ambassadors give me goosebumps when they start riffing back and forth at the end of the song; it feels like we all recorded it from the same emotional place. Home can be anything… A person, a dream, an escape — whatever it is, we all want a home.”

Take a listen to the piano-driven ballad and let us know what you think. Does this have potential hit possibility?

Quotable Lyrics:

Look, I didn't power through the struggle
Just to let a little trouble, knock me out of my position
And interrupt the vision
After everything I witnessed, after all of these decisions
All these miles, feets, inches
They can't add up to the distance
That I have been through, just to get to
A place where even if there's no closure, I'm still safe
I still ache from trying to keep pace
Somebody give me a sign, I'm starting to lose faith
