“LA Traffic” is one of the stand out tracks from his recent mixtape The Golden Child 2, and not just because we get a vintage Weezy verse right off the bat. The proverbial (and literal, now) Golden Child of Young Money goes in the track as well.
The beat is chopped up, trapped out flip of the somber beat Beanie Sigel used for “Feel It In the Air.” The track is an in-their-feelings love song for an unnamed lover who is just out of reach, and the distance is represented by “bad traffic.” Lil Wayne handles the hook, and overall has much more time on the mic than Lil Twist.
