The divisive rapper shares a new track from his "Come Over When You’re Sober" album.

20-year-old L.A.-based rapper and singer Lil Peep has been building a following off of a succession of emo-influenced mixtapes over the last few years. He's now announced his debut album Come Over When You're Sober, and released a new track on SoundCloud called "No Respect Freestyle." In the past, the rapper has sampled the work of a range of bands, including Brand New, Radiohead, Slayer, and The Microphones. He even ran into some sample trouble with classic emo band Mineral, which was eventually resolved over Twitter. It's unclear if the guitar tones on Peep's new release is yet another loop, but it keeps within the moody atmosphere he's established with his prior work. Producer Greaf adds some programmed drums to the riff, giving it a more rap-oriented structure. The sound has been a divisive one with rap fans, but his loyal fanbase has proven that he's tapped into something that people are looking for.
