Chicago and Atlanta are certainly two of the most vibrant rap scenes of the moment, and more and more often we're seeing the two come together. Lil Herb, one of Chi's most promising young talents, released a surprise mixtape just yesterday, and one of the early highlights is a collaboration with fellow regional star Katie Got Bandz, as well as Atlanta experimentalist Childish Major.

The result is a seamless blend of exhilarating street rap, complete with some pummelling low end, and aggressive lyricism. As always, Katie has plenty of chemistry with Herb, as she does most of her collaborators.
