Albany emcee Lil Debbie is readying her upcoming album OG In My System, which is set to drop this Friday, August 18th. In the mean time, the rapper has come through with a sunshine filled video for "Summer," and fans will have much to like about this one. The Jami Vorkink directed clip features some breathtaking views, including crystal blue oceans, beachfront vistas, and plenty of thong-clad women. Debbie leads the pack, spitting bars as her and the girls enjoy boating, swimming, and showing off the beach bodies.
The track does a good job at combining Debbie's harder bars with her recent foray into breezy pop-inspired production. The clip is somewhat inspired, if perhaps indirectly, by Spring Breakers; much like in the Harmony Korine film, the girls seem content to indulge in a healthy combination of recreational drug use, sightseeing, and carefree beach exploration. All that's missing is James Franco channeling RiFF RAFF.
While the NSFW video features more thongs than "The Thong Song" video, the clip is worth watching for the picturesque view of the island and its diverse wildlife. There are actually some dope animal sightings in this one, with stingrays, iguanas, and wild pigs making an appearance. Overall, insofar as videos you'd probably want to be a part of, this one might top high on the list.
