King Mez is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, and one of the five "underground players" we highlighted from that state back in June. His inclusion on the list was mostly due to his standout mixtape Long Live The King, and today a song from that tape gets the video treatment.
The introspective "Morris" video shows a youngster (who seems to be a younger version of Mez) building model cars, taking care of his little brother and spinning Nas' Illmatic on vinyl. We've seen a number of rappers attempt this nostalgic approach to videos, but Mez's is surely a standout.
