Kevin Gates sat down with our dude Damon Campbell for an interview, and it's far from the average "when's your new album dropping?" kind of interview. The Gates fans will enjoy it though, as Damon and Gates get deep into the Baton Rouge rapper's depression, and generally how he views life.
Gates says from the beginning he's going to be vulnerable in the interview, and he definitely keeps his word and opens up about a variety of topics, including hearing his music being played for the first time, not being materialistic, rapping about flipping bricks ("When I speak about those things, I speak about those things from the perspective of one's survival. It's a jungle out there, and if you not with it, you may get lost," he says), and much more.
