Kendrick Lamar, the self-appointed King of New York, won big at the Grammys last year. He texted Chance The Rapper to congratulate him on his epic win Sunday night. The Chi-town rapper shared the congratulatory message to his followers on Instagram Monday.

"Congrats bro. God is moving," the text reads. In return, Chance thanked the TDE emcee for "always taking care of us." He captioned the post "Big Brother."

It also revealed that Kendrick was rooting for him even before he got the win. "We rooting for u over here bro. Yeah," Lamar texted him last December.

Chance was nominated in seven categories and left with three trophies including Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album. Drake, who won two Grammys Sunday, also complimented the 23-year-old unsigned performer on his magical night.
