Joey Bada$$ stops by Shade 45 to drop a characteristically thrilling freestyle.
A few weeks ago, Joey Bada$$ surprised us by showing up during Ab-Soul and Retchy P's freestyle on Shade 45, but unfortunately, he was there to hang out, not rap. Now he's returned to the radio station's studio to do just that.
Visiting during the station's Toca Tuesdays program, Bada$$ spits over a bass-heavy, low-key beat, looking fittingly casual and wise in a pair of glasses. He and host Tony Touch trade some bars, but it's clear that Joey's the real lyrical star here, sounding effortless as he conjures up several minutes of on-the-spot, intelligent rapping.
His B4.DA.$$ tour kicks off in ten days.
