Jimmy Butler has revealed details of the night he was traded from the Chicago Bulls to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and how he found out while playing spades in Paris with Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union.
According to Alan Horton, the voice of the T'Wolves, here's how Butler recalled what happened the night he was traded.
"I was very much aware of the trade rumors [but] my name was in so many different situations with different teams that I didn't pay it any mind until my agent Bernie Lee decided to call me. I was playing spades, Carmelo was my partner, we were beating up on D-Wade & Gab and [Lee] broke the great news to me that I was now a Minnesota Timberwolf. I'm happy with that. And that's exactly who it happened…and we won in spades that night, so it was a win-win all the way around."
Of course, if you don't believe that story you can call him up and tell him how you feel because he gave out his phone number at today's introductory press conference in Minnesota.
