Jennifer Hudson is known mainly for her ballad work, but her new track finds her in a more urban-contemporary zone.
While remaining within her mid-tempo, harmony-filled comfort zone, Hudson expands her palette with some help from Timbaland, who contributes both production and backing vocals to the effort.
Last year's "I Can't Describe (The Way If Feel)" had a similar vibe, but didn't end up performing the way it was expected to.
Hopefully thin one connects with audiences a little more, and Hudson can continue the rollout of her upcoming third album.
