Hudson Mohawke has experimented within plenty of different genres, but he hit a sweet spot with his distorted synth brass ensembles on TNGHT, and eventually caught the ear of Kanye West. Since then, his sound has been increasingly informed by rap, and "Ryderz" finds him exploring new territory, looking back through the work of Just Blaze and the Dipset-co-signed Heatmakerz production team, turning a sample of D.J. Rogers’ “Watch Out For The Riders” into a monstrous collage of heavily filtered sounds.

The Scottish producers upcoming album, Lantern, is due out later this year, and we're hoping to hear some more records in this style on the project.
