Flying Lotus is on bit of a music binge this week, flooding his SoundCloud with new music. Just this week we were treated to, "Night Grows Pale," as well as his clever rendition of the theme from the cult classic, Twin Peaks. Today FlyLo blesses us with yet another track entitled, "North Star3."
The track gives credit to Brendon Small and Thundercat, who worked as collaborators. Flying Lotus is killing the game with so much quality music. "North Star3" begins with a dark tone, as heavy metal strings and keys create an ominous feel. Almost as if you've just started a 80s horror film mid-scene.
However, as the track progresses and the snares take hold, a jazziness erodes some of the dark undertones, although not completely altering the songs original vibes. The track ends as battle between guitars and drums of classic rock lore which create a truly unique listen. Keep them coming Lo.
