Eminem has been quiet for a while, but today he returns in a big way with the release of "Campaign Speech." Taking to Twitter, the rapper announced that he's working on a new album, sharing the song for fans to listen to in the meantime.
The nearly 8-minute song is as minimal as it gets on the production side, as a low hum of distorted synth is the only consistent portion of the instrumental. However, Em's rhymes are as dense and multi-syllabic as ever, containing the same name-drops and punchlines he's been known for over the years. He takes the opportunity to vent on a number of issues, calling out Trayvon Martin's killer, George Zimmerman, as well as denouncing Trump.
He wraps things up by asking himself; "Why am I such a dick?"
Don't worry I'm working on an album! Here's something meanwhile. https://t.co/QX3cdpqFD2— Marshall Mathers (@Eminem) October 19, 2016
