When it was announced that 2 Chainz had been working on music with Eminem for Revival, many fans received the news with excitement. However, when the tracklist surfaced without 2 Chainz, those same fans were met disappointment. The idea of hearing Eminem trade verses with 2 Chainz seemed like an interesting combination, especially with an up-and-comer like Phresher in the mix. And while Revival may not have been the place for it, an official remix to "Chloraseptic" has dropped in select international markets. It's safe to say that Eminem listened to the criticism, and if this verse is any indication, it lit a fire under his ass. Em directly addresses his haters with an intense final verse, calling out anyone who talked shit about "Walk On Water," the infamous tracklist, his waning sales, or his switched-up flows. It's one of his strongest verses in recent memory, and you can hear the venom as he raps "not as raw as I was, "Walk On Water sucks" bitch suck my dick, ya'll saw the tracklist and had a fit before you heard it so you formed a verdict."
With strong verses from each rapper, including an excellent performance from Em, "Chloraseptic Remix" is a welcome start to the year.
