Drag-On continues to provide the opposite of H2O.

For those who remember the Ruff Ryders legacy, the name Drag-On is likely a familiar one. Known for obliterating songs like "Down Bottom" and "Street Team," Drag was a stalwart presence across all three volumes of the Double R album trilogy. Though his solo career never quite materialized on a level befitting of his skillset, Drag remained a favorite of the streets, even decades after originally hitting the scene as one of DMX' lil homies. Now, the rapper has returned to the fold, setting January winters off with a welcome dose of the furnace.

On the third installment of his Barz On Fire series, Drag takes to various instrumentals, including Lil Wayne's "Pistol On My Side," Three 6 Mafia's "Who Run It," Tyga's "Taste," and more. The project, hosted by DJ Get It Rite and DJ Lazy K, has a gritty feel lost to many commercial endeavors. Though some might lament his perceived sense of stagnation, there is much to value in a rapper like Drag, who proves more than capable of bodying an instrumental when called to the task. For anyone with even a shred of Double R loyalty, do your due dilly.
