FX renews it's critical (and popular) darling "Atlanta" for a second season.

Donald Glover's FX show "Atlanta" was a smash from the jump. Three million people tuned in for the series premiere, enough to threaten the FX comedy record. After airing three episodes, FX has decided to renew "Atlanta" for a second season.

"It's really gratifying to launch two new comedies that have received overwhelming critical acclaim right out of the gate and that are emblematic of FX's award-winning brand," FX Presidents of Original Programming Nick Grad and Eric Schrier told Complex. "It is clear to us that 'Atlanta' [has] struck a nerve with viewers, which is a credit to Donald Glover's vision."

Three cheers for "Atlanta"! The fourth episode airs tonight at 10 PM on FX. Watch the episode trailer below.
