Dave B is one of a few new artists putting Seattle on the map within the rap world, and his new record is yet another reason to pay attention to the city. Like the very effective "Leaves" from earlier this year, "The Way" pairs Dave up with Jake One, who once again laces him with a heavily-filtered vocal sample that twinkles below the rapper's half-sung delivery.
His personality-driven style, and subtle melodic strengths are reminiscent of Devin The Dude, but with a younger, more energetic swagger. Dave has more music on the way, so stay tuned if you like what you're hearing.
