Last week, Curren$y released a new mixtape, Weed & Instrumentals, that served as a showcase of his Jet Life roster. He had already dropped two other projects this year, a joint tape with Alchemist as well as a joint EP with Cool & Dre. A couple of days ago, he dropped yet another project's worth of music -- this time with Taylor Gang producer Sledgren -- but he decided to release the new material via a different medium, as 6 new tracks were heard in a nearly 25-minute short film titled "Revolver."
The audio from the film, including all 6 new tracks, is now available for download. Different sound effects from the film are still heard on the audio-only release, so it's not the typical listening experience, but it's an interesting way to hear the music, inspiring the listener to create his or her own imagery to go along with each track.
