BJ The Chicago Kid Speaks On The Success of “Studio” At The 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards

“I wanna see what those envelopes say, pimp. Straight up.” That’s how BJ The Chicago Kid answered our “what are you most excited for tonight” question at the 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards. The singer was nominated for two awards for his collab with Schoolboy Q, “Studio,” and when asked how he was feeling, he said:

“It’s actually incredible, but I don’t listen to the radio a lot, so the hype of the record is kinda through everybody else. It kinda keeps me grounded, keeps me rooted, I don’t get caught up in it. And I just keep trying to make more music to get us here 50 more times, that’s pretty much it.”
