Shoot Em Up
Shoot Em Up
Bishop Lamont
VERY HOTTTTT
Before he heads out on a European tour with Xzibit, Carson, CA rapper Bishop Lamont drops a gift off in the form of "Shoot Em Up," a teaser from his long-anticipated album The Reformation (coming soon!). "Shoot Em Up" is produced by reputed Aftermath in-house producer DJ Khalil, who most recently co-produced "All In A Day's Work" on Dr. Dre's Compton album. The Dre influence is evident on "Shoot Em Up," which emits a distinct "Get Rich Or Die Tryin" vibe as Lamont takes us on a ride through the streets of Los Angeles.

Bishop Lamont Feat. Rich Kidd
HOTTTTT
It's been a minute since Bishop Lamont last impacted our pages. In fact, the last time we heard from the Carson, California rapper was on last year’s “Get Em” record. However tonight, Bishop returns from his hiatus and releases a new single with Rich Kidd called “Mutiny”.
Get 'Em
Get 'Em
Bishop Lamont
HOTTTTT
Bishop Lamont has been flooding the web lately with quality material. Returning just two weeks after the release of his acclaimed new single "Hypnotize You," which featured some standout production from DJ Quik, the good bishop is back with "Get 'Em." With an instrumental courtesy of Paul Cabbin, this one has that gritty west coast sound that fans of Lamont's work have been rocking with since Welcome To L.A. back in 2006.
Hypnotize You
Hypnotize You
Bishop Lamont Feat. DJ Quik
VERY HOTTTTT
Some music transcends a traditional listening experience, lulling the audience into a trance of sorts. Legendary producer DJ Quik has crafted more than a few of these gems over the course of his career, and his work here with Bishop Lamont is no exception. While our emcee draws in a female that grabbed his interest, Quik matches the energy on the boards, creating one of the more mesmerizing instrumentals you'll hear this week. Try not bobbing your head to this one.
Giraffe Pussy
Giraffe Pussy
Apollo Brown & Ras Kass Feat. Royce Da 5'9", Xzibit & Bishop Lamont
VERY HOTTTTT
Generally speaking, I do my best to avoid any song referencing the genitalia of any species in the animal kingdom that isn't human. For Apollo Brown & Ras Kass, however, I was willing to make an exception. Fortunately not about interspecies relations, "Giraffe Pussy" is actually a reference to how high one might be. (To my knowledge, Ludacris made the reference first on "Hip Hop Quotables" back in 2003.)
Bombin' Shit
Bombin' Shit
Bishop Lamont Feat. B-Real
HOTTTTT
It's a good week to be a part of the church of hip-hop. On top of a new album from Bishop Nehru, hip-hop heads are getting a double dose of bishops with this brand new release from Bishop Lamont. Featuring B-Real of Cypress Hill, "Bombin' Shit" finds both artists addressing the US drone strike policy, urging listeners to question their government and... Oh, actually, it's about causing "mass hysteria" on the track. My bad. B-Real handles the hook on this one, giving Lamont time to shine on all three verses.
Brain Freeze
Brain Freeze
Bishop Lamont Feat. Christian Scott & Braxton Cook
HOTTTTT
Bishop Lamont continues to build anticipation for his long-awaited The Reformation LP. Following in the footsteps of the reader-acclaimed "Bruce Lee Music" and, more recently, "B-I-T-C-H," "Brain Freeze" sounds distinctly throwback. Fans of hip-hop's "golden age" will no doubt appreciate the instrumentals and flows on this one. Stay tuned to HNHH as we continue to cover the roll out to Lamont's debut album. Meanwhile, be sure to follow the man himself on Twitter for all of the latest and greatest.
B-I-T-C-H
B-I-T-C-H
Bishop Lamont Feat. David Blake Jr. & DJ Quik
HOTTTTT
It's been almost two months since we posted "Bruce Lee Music," the last we've heard from Bishop Lamont, and today, the MC shares a new one called "B-I-T-C-H." Linking up with legendary producer/rapper DJ Quik, as well as David Blake Jr and Chris Noxx (who handles production), Lamont drops off the chaotic track. Beginning with a cacophony that almost seems to demand the Rick Rubin reference that comes seconds later, "B-I-T-C-H" makes good use of Too Short's famous way of saying that word ("Beeeeeitch!"). Hilarious voice overs follow, as does a stellar verse from Blake Jr.
Bruce Lee Music
Bruce Lee Music
Bishop Lamont Feat. DJ Revolution
HOTTTTT
Just in time to honor the late Bruce Lee's passing, Bishop Lamont drops by with a hot new record honoring the legendary martial artist's legacy. Reminiscent of the classic b-boy records from hip-hop's golden age, "Bruce Lee Music" is everything the fans were hoping for from a Lamont record: solid lyrics; beat breakdowns; the works. Throw in some scratches from Duck Down's DJ Revolution and you've got one hell of a track. The video for "Bruce Lee Music" is dropping on July 20th, the anniversary of Lee's tragic passing (he was only 32).
Invasion
Invasion
Bishop Lamont Feat. Torae & Flowers
HOTTTTT
Bishop Lamont and two Brooklyn emcees, Torae and Flowers, connect over a hard-hitting and very NYC beat for "Invasion." This is the first single off Bishop's album The Preformation, which is coming soon. Quotable Lyrics "My lines is more than linear, listen / this is lyrical literature / literary linguistics of ligature / alliteration ammo and minister"
