Big Boi's 11-year marriage is coming to an end.

It looks like Big Boi's marriage with Sherlita Patton isn't working out. The Outkast rapper's wife filed for a divorce, and she's asking for sole custody of their 12-year child.

TMZ reports that Sherlita filed the documents yesterday, stating that their 11-year marriage is "irretrievably broken." The couple got married in February 2002, and they have two children together, an 18-year old and a 12-year old.

According to the court documents, Sherlita is also asking for child support, spousal support, plus a split of the marital assets and attorney's fee.

In October 2013 we first reported on Big Boi's wife, Sherlita Patton, filing for divorce. When Patton filed, she request for sole custody of their one minor child (the other is 18 years old), and was also seeking child support and spousal support.

Now Big Boi has filed some documents of his own, and he does not want his wife to have sole custody of the kid. He says that the child would be better off having joint physical and legal custody, according to TMZ.

The ATLien also says that he's willing to pay whatever the State of Georgia deems appropriate for child support, no less and no more. As for spousal support, it sounds as though he won't be paying that out because "Patton's young, healthy, and well-educated."
