Summer officially began this past week, and with it came a whole bevy of huge tracks, most of the biggest ones being collabs. There's something decidedly warm weather about the low-stakes posse cut, and that's mainly what our list consists of this week. All but two of these ten tracks didn't appear on last week's Top Ten, with a bunch of stuff falling off in the past week.

For ten out of the 24 weeks of 2016 we've experienced thus far, Drake has held the top spot in our Top 100 tracks list. Similar to the streak VIEWS is currently enjoying at the top of the Billboard charts, Drizzy's dominance in our metric of streaming-and-viewing success is pretty astounding, especially considering the mixed reaction his new album received.

Perhaps this week's playlist won't be as useful as usual, as most rap fans will likely have GuWop on repeat all weekend in celebration of the Trap God's surprise release from prison yesterday. He had been locked up for three years, and unsurprisingly, he recorded a track on his first day out, aptly titled "First Day Out Tha Feds," produced by his reliable longtime collaborator Mike Will Made-It.

XO's Belly might have received his big break in the industry thanks to his affiliation with The Weeknd, but he’s far from just Abel’s wingman & protégé. Amassing a steady buzz for himself over the past year or so, the Ottawa-born artist recently signed a new deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation and is ready to make his impact on the game.

The Weeknd and his XO cohort Belly were scheduled to perform "Might Not" last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The AP reports that they opted to cancel their performance at the last minute because they didn't want to appear in the same episode as Donald Trump, who appeared as a guest on the show last night.

Belly is poised to become the one of the first big Canadian rap stars from outside of the GTA. After coming up under The Weeknd's XO brand, Belly recently inked a deal with Roc Nation. Today, he announced the follow-up to last year's Up for Days mixtape, which spawned a few big hits. His new project is called Another Day in Paradise, and it boasts an exciting array of guest features, including Travis Scott, Kehlani, Waka Flocka, Lil Wayne, and more.

Beyonce released her sixth album in her usual surprise fashion tonight, as Lemonade appeared on Tidal after the HBO premiere of the "visual album" of the same name. Unsurprisingly, there is a vast array of mega-talented musicians behind Beyonce's latest work. Those who tuned in likely recognized the voices of Kendrick Lamar ("Freedom"), The Weeknd ("6 Inch"), and James Blake ("Forward").

It's about that time. With the weekend imminent, as well as the SuperBowl, you surely need a playlist that will soundtrack your every move. This week's playlist is ultra-modern, occupied almost exclusively by a new generation of artists-- Young Thug, Roy Wood$, Tinashe, Jazz Cartier, Belly and more (we'll just glide over 2 Chainz, he's a strange case in that he's old-but-new). There's a fair amount of trap-influenced records, before moving into more musically-inclined songs. Shout out Angus for exclusively picking Young Thug records.
