With SXSW kicking off this week, DJ E.Sudd and DJ Tephlon decided to put together this new mixtape called It’s Time 4 That, which you can cop right now on Livemixtapes. While many of the songs have been previously heard already, one track that hasn’t been heard yet is the project’s intro track “Jump” by 2 Chainz.
Hood Go Crazy
Tech N9ne Feat. 2 Chainz & B.o.B
Tech N9ne isn't usually the kind of rapper who specifically reaches for a radio record, most of his career was built without radio support, however he may have one on his hands with the "Hood Go Crazy." It features past collaborator B.o.B ("Am I a Pyscho?" and "See Me") and 2 Chainz, and it's got an accessibility that Tech's music doesn't always have, not only by way of the mainstream features but the bouncy, Mustard-esque beat.
2 Chainz Feat. Skooly
A few minutes ago, 2 Chainz and his T.R.U. (The Real University) crewmates Skooly, Bankroll Fresh, Cap 1 and Short Dawg dropped off their TRU Jack City tape, which features 17 dope tracks produced by a who's-who of dope ATL producers. "Foreign," a highlight from the tape, stars two of the best in the biz, Zaytoven and Metro Boomin.
Jordin Sparks Feat. 2 Chainz
Jordin Sparks is prepping the release of her new album, Right Here Right Now, for later this year, and today she’s dropping off another new single for us. Following in the steps of her DJ Mustard-produced “It Aint You”, Jordin comes through and liberates a new version of her 2 Chainz-assisted cut “Double Tap”.
Keep It 100
2 Chainz Feat. Cap 1, Skooly, Short Dawg & Kaleb
Today is Tuesday, lesser known as TRUsday. Tity Boi is making sure we keep his upcoming TRU Jack City mixtape on our minds, as we lead up to the January 27th release date he's giving us new exclusives each week for his TRUsday series.
Yesterday Tity Boi debated with Nancy Grace about the legalization of pot, and while she had a pretty ridiculous argument, 2 Chainz did a good job of combating her and making her look like a fool. Or maybe she just is a fool. Either way, with the interview setting the internet ablaze, the Hair Weave Killa quickly returns today with another leak off T.R.U. Jack City, "Road Dawg." As we announced yesterday, we're rolling out content weekly as part of Chainz's TRUsday series-- so consider this a bonus cut.
Trap House Stalkin'
2 Chainz Feat. Young Dolph & Cap 1
Recently Tity Boi announced a new mixtape, keeping in line with his 'TRU' (The Real University) movement, the project is called TRU Jack City.
Someone To Love
Mike Will Made It Feat. 2 Chainz, Cap 1 & Skooly
With his Ransom mixtape drop just around the corner, Mike Will Made It returns today with a fresh cut from the project. Featuring verses from 2Chainz, Cap1 & Skooly, the bass-heavy track provides all of the thrills typically associated with Mike's production credits nowadays. Check the track out and let us know if you're feeling it. Meanwhile, be sure to follow Mike on Twitter for all of the latest updates on his upcoming records.
Focused On You
Eric Bellinger Feat. 2 Chainz
It was only a matter of time before 2 Chainz referenced one of his "Most Expensivest Shit" feats in a verse. The GQ webseries, which features Tity Boi trying out some of the priciest gear in the world, seemed primed for mid-song references to the ATL rapper's love for life's finer things, and now it' happened. On Eric Bellinger's new track "Focused On You," Chainz mentions the episode in which he ate the world's most extravagant burger: "I just ate a 300 dollar hamburger."
Living All Your Dreams
Mack Maine Feat. Mac Miller & 2 Chainz
Mac Miller on a Lex Luger beat? I guess crazier things have happened (like Mac teaming up with Rick Ross earlier this year), but still, this new Mack Maine track is bonkers for a number of reasons. "Living All Your Dreams" was produced by Lex and features Miller and 2 Chainz.
2 Chainz Feat. Skooly & Cap 1
When he’s not eating $300 burgers or trying on $25,000 hats, 2 Chainz is usually in the studio working on new material.
Shy Glizzy Feat. 2 Chainz & A$AP Rocky
With "Awwsome," DMV spitter Shy Glizzy had himself his first bonafide hit. Now that he's substantially ballin' (swish!), he's attracted a huge remix of the track, nabbing 2 Chainz and A$AP Rocky for the assists. Complete with dope, new cover artwork that shows a girl with a Glizzy chain in her mouth, the remix has Glizzy going in first, and followed by Tity and Rocky. Chainz has lipstick stains on his balls while he debates giving girls his "sausage," and Rocky compares himself to 2Pac (based on his belly tat), and tells us he's got hoes "for days." We believe you bro.
DJ Infamous Feat. 2 Chainz & Jeezy
DJ Infamous continues to bring us collaborations, with his latest pairing up Jeezy and Tity Boi for "Dikembe." In July he teamed Big K.R.I.T. with Yo Gotti for "Somethin' Right." As you might have guessed, "Dikembe" finds Jeezy and Chainz comparing themselves to the basketball Dikembe Mutombo, who is knowing for blocking shots. Thus, on this trap-fueled banger, Chainz says "I got me more blocks than Dikembe."
Mama Ain't Proud
Guy Sebastian Feat. 2 Chainz
"Australian Idol" winner Guy Sebastian makes his HNHH debut with the radio-ready "Mama Ain't Proud." 2 Chainz has been on a roll lately with these pop guest features, fresh off appearing on hits from the likes of Jessie J and Jamie Foxx. He sure has come a long way from Tity Boi.
Duffle Bag Boy
Playaz Circle Feat. Lil Wayne
Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz would go on to do plenty of collaborations, but this "Duffle Bag Boy" was the first big one, and it came back when Chainz was still Tity Boi. Playaz Circle scored a hit with this one, with Wayne delivering arguably one of his all time best hooks.
U Guessed It (Remix)
OG Maco Feat. 2 Chainz
OG Maco's "U Guessed It" has gradually become one of the hottest songs out. The impossibly minimal ATL banger was due for a big remix, and while it could have easily crowded the song with unnecessary features, instead it's been given a well selected verse from 2 Chainz. Tity 2 Necklace adds star power, but also works within the track's insular vibe, especially considering his own recent exploration of more experimental production on Freebase.
Couple Niggas (Remix)
Chinx Feat. French Montana & 2 Chainz
Chinx Drugz continues to show love to his latest project Cocaine Riot 4. Last week, the Coke Boy dropped off the official video for his track “Couple Niggas”, and now today he’s back with the official remix to the song featuring 2 Chainz and his fellow Coke Boy general, French Montana.
The Game Feat. Yo Gotti, 2 Chainz, Soulja Boy & T.I.
Although Kendrick Lamar has the West Coast covered this morning with his "i" single, The Game decides to drop off a new leak from his upcoming compilation album Year Of The Wolf. The new single, "Really," features Yo Gotti, 2 Chainz, Soulja Boy (on the hook) and T.I.
Jessie J Feat. 2 Chainz
UK artist Jessie J has plans to make it big in America, and has enlisted some well-known Americans to help make it happen. First we received her big single "Bang Bang" with mega pop stars Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. While that record continues to grow bigger on the radio, she's dropped the next single "Burnin' Up" with assistance from Tity Boi.
2 Chainz Feat. Young Thug
2 Chainz takes a note from T.I. and enlists regional MVP Young Thug to contribute a hook to his new street record, "Dresser". Keeping with the production style of his Freebase EP, the song transitions into a new movement in the final minute, using some vocal samples in its evolution into a bass-heavy crawl. London On Da Track, FKi and J-Gramm all worked on the instrumental. No word on whether this will serve as the first single from a new Tity 2 Necklace album, but according to the man himself, 2 Chainz season has arrived.
