F U Pay Me [Tags]
Jermaine Dupri Feat. Da Brat & The-Dream
Well look what we have here. Last night, Jermaine Dupri made his way by the Power 106 studios in LA to pay a visit with the LA Leakers and chop it up for a brief interview. In addition to talking about the Kanye West & Taylor Swift feud, JD decided to give DJ Sourmilk & Justin Credible the green light to premiere his new single with former So-So Def member Da Brat called “FU Pay Me” featuring The Dream on the hook. Take a listen and let us know what you think. New hit?
Finally, something new from Tinashe, one of the finest talents in R&B today. Her new single, "Superlove," is her first piece of new music since the track "Bullet" leaked in March.
SBTRKT Feat. The-Dream
Omg. SBTRKT and The-Dream together? Zane Lowe got his hands on the world premiere of SBTRKT's new collaboration with the definitive best r'n'b singer/songwriter of our generation (yeah, I said it), "Good Morning." Not only that, in a few opening words about the collaboration, Aaron Jerome reveals that they actually have more in the stash together (!!). "We just tried some ideas and ended up kind of writing a bunch of songs together. [We] made quite a nice collection of tracks all which have a sort of thematic idea anyway," he says.
Pusha T Feat. Kanye West, A$AP Rocky & The-Dream
Pusha T has already released three songs -- "Untouchable," "Crutches, Crosses, & Caskets," & "M.F.T.R." -- from his prelude album Darkest Before The Dawn. The album has apparently been released in New Zealand ahead of its official December 18th release date, and so we are treated to a leak of the album's most anticipated song: "M.P.A." feat. Kanye West, A$AP Rocky and The-Dream, with J. Cole on the production. Don't get your hopes up about any of these people dropping verses... Here's how Pusha described the song:
Pusha T Feat. The-Dream
During the wait for Pusha T's My Name Is My Name, there was a point where Push revealed the entire project would be produced by legendary songwriter The-Dream. In the end, Terius supplied two beats and one hook, and as solid as the rest of the project was, we craved more of those promised collaborations. Today, Push has reunited with Dream on "M.F.T.R.," a record from his upcoming Darkest Before The Dawn album.
DJ Montay & DJ Jelly Feat. The-Dream, T-Pain & Twista
DJ Montay and DJ Jelly have curated an all-star lineup for a triumphant new R&B anthem, "6 Minutes." The title refers to the amount of time that it takes each one of these artists to get your girl into the bedroom. The seemingly random increment of time does not relate to the song's length, 4 minutes and 25 seconds.
Rick Ross Feat. The-Dream
After dropping J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League-produced "Foreclosures," yesterday, Rick Ross returns with his second Black Dollar single, "Money Dance" feat. The-Dream.
2 Chainz Feat. The-Dream
After hitting us with a new leak yesterday, the street-leaning anthem "Everything I Know," Tity Boi makes a swift return this afternoon with another leak off the highly anticipated mixtape, Trapavelli Tre.
Rather than releasing a proper full length, The-Dream has decided to release two EPs as his follow-up to IVPlay. After dropping Crown in April, the Radio Killa is now preparing the sequel, completing the phrase with Jewel. The EP is currently available for pre-order, doing so will give you both the first installment, and the opening track, "Black Magic" for free.
Let Your Hair Down
T-Pain Feat. The-Dream & Vantrease
T-Pain and The-Dream have a whole lot in common. Stacked harmonies, futuristic R&B sounds, and early experimentation with synthesized vocal effects can be found throughout both artists' catalogs, with the two singers making similar songwriting innovations over the course of the 00s.
That's My Shit (CDQ)
The-Dream Feat. T.I. & Trev Rich
A few days ago, we got a radio rip of a new The-Dream track, purported to be the first single from his new album. Now we've gotten both a CDQ and confirmation that "That's My Shit" will indeed be included on Crown/Jewel. In addition to T.I., who was included on the prior version, Colorado's Trev Rich makes an appearance here too.
That's My Shit (Radio Rip)
The-Dream Feat. T.I.
The-Dream continues to keep it moving. After dropping off “Fruition” last week, Terius decides to come through tonight and bless a local Atlanta radio station with the premiere of his newest single “That’s My Shit” featuring T.I.
The-Dream has been teasing "Fruition" on his Twitter page for a short while now. Serving the track the old-fashioned way by hand-delivering it to radio DJs, the Radio Killa has avoided the single hitting the web for several days. Now, the full track finally surfaces for those of us who rarely tune into FM radio anymore. On "Fruition," The-Dream continues to prove why he's among the most slept on R&B stars of this generation. Debuting a new, more mature sound, the record highlights his songwriting skills both on the mic and behind the boards.
On The Rocks
Its been a few months since Nicole Scherzinger dropped her comeback single and the track has yet to gain much traction at the radio. Never one to give up, however, the former Pussycat Doll is back with yet another The-Dream and Tricky Stewart-produced track, "On The Rocks." "This is one that some people will really be able to relate to, to really feel," said Scherzinger. "I’ve always spoken about my life in music but I’m at an age where I can be even more open. You can peel back the layers on this album.”
Pimp C Lives
The-Dream surprised fans this week with a brand new EP, filled with seven new cuts, six of which contained original production from the self-appointed Radio Killa.
Used To Be
The-Dream dropped his free project 1977 under his real name Terius Nash back in August 2011, and it has become a fan-favorite and highly underrated project at the same time. The r'n'b singer/songwriter went on to re-release the project for sale, which was a good call considering it is of album quality.
Mary J. Blige Feat. The-Dream
Mary J. Blige is basically handling the entire movie soundtrack for the upcoming "Think Like A Man Too" film, thus almost making it a new LP for the r'n'b singer. We've received three original records thus far, including one yesterday titled "See That Boy Again" featuring Pharrell. The latest release from the film's soundtrack is "Vegas Nights" featuring the Radio Killa himself, The-Dream. How's the collaboration sound?
We haven't heard from fromer Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger in a minute, but today she returns in a big way, with a huge pop jam co-written with the unstoppable team of The-Dream and Tricky Stewart. The duo have penned hits for the likes of Rihanna, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, and Ciara, and may have yet another smash with "Your Love". The four-on-the-floor track definitely bears the vocal inflections of The-Dream on its hook, and has incorporates elements of UK Dance music with it's looped piano chords.
Big Boy Dialogue [CDQ]
Jadakiss Feat. The-Dream
Bump Big Boy Dialogue [CDQ], the latest cut from Jadakiss which features The-Dream on the assist. It dropped on Tuesday, June 4th, 2013. Jadakiss's horizons are broadening with each new release, and Big Boy Dialogue [CDQ] is no exception. It's a worthy addition to a catalogue that has seen much growth since Jadakiss stepped foot in the rap game. We're looking forward to hearing more.
Give Com'On a spin - it's a new offering from The-Dream. It was dropped on Friday, May 31st, 2013. The-Dream's rap artistry continues to improve with every release, something which is most definitely evidenced on Com'On. His ever-expanding catalogue is definitely better for it, and we're looking forward to the next piece of the puzzle - aren't you? Have you heard The-Dream's Com'On?
