Cabin Fever 3
The usually prolific Wiz Khalifa has been relatively quiet this year, releasing just one project -- Talk About It In The Morning, his 5-track collaborative EP with Ty Dolla $ign -- until this point.
Miami newcomer Khaotic is taking the streets by storm, and we're happy to premiere his brand new tape, Boola, which should put him on the map in a big way. The first two tracks we got from Khaotic featured Rick Ross and Kevin Gates, respectively, so that should tell you something about his street cred. He's the rare breed of your singing rapper that makes hits strictly for the streets.
You may remember Hurricane Chris from his breakout single, "Ay Bay Bay," in 2007. He hasn't come anywhere close to getting another top 10 hit, and though his output has been sparse, most everything he has managed to put out since has been banging. Chris hails from Shreveport, and you can hear that same fiery hunger in his rhymes that we've come to expect from the Baton Rouge kings Boosie and Webbie.
Murder For Hire (Hosted By DJ Holiday)
The surprise trend continues tonight as Kevin Gates decides to join in on the fun and release a brand new mixtape titled Murder For Hire.
Starlito comes through this Memorial Day with a new mixtape to bang, Introversion. In December the rapper dropped off a new album, Black Sheep Don't Grin, and since then he hasn't popped up too much save for a feature on Snootie Wild's "Here I Go" and a loose leak.
Screens On Lock 2
We're premiering the new mixtape from Digital Trapstars today. Screens On Lock 2 follows up Screens On Lock: 4th Quarter, and like the first project, will contain a slew of exclusive records from a variety of artists. So far, we've heard leaks from Too Short & Mistah F.A.B, 808 Mafia & Tracy T, and Kevin Gates & OG Boobie Black.
Luca Brasi 2 (Hosted By DJ Drama)
Kevin Gates once again drops off an album-quality mixtape, which you can support on iTunes. The special Gangsta Grillz project, Luca Brasi 2, follows up his first acclaimed Luca Brasi Story mixtape from last year. The Baton Rouge crooner-rapper tackles familiar topics, from drug-dealing, to females, to the grind, with his trademark raw honesty.
By Any Means
After delivering two of 2013's strongest projects, with The Luca Brasi Story and Stranger Than Fiction, Kevin Gates finally decides to release his long-awaited mixtape By Any Means.
Alley Boy's new mixtape finds him channeling the spirit of Tupac, taking on the pseudonym Alley Shakur. The 21 track effort has plenty of notable features, including gust spots from Kevin Gates, Trey Songz, Rocko, Doe B, Trouble, Starlito and more. If you're looking for a NO DJ version of the tape, you can grab that on iTunes.
The Luca Brasi Story
Check out The Luca Brasi Story, a new mixtape from Kevin Gates that saw the light of day on Friday, March 22nd, 2013. Kevin Gates's movement grows stronger with each new release, and The Luca Brasi Story has further strengthened that fact. It's a solid addition to the commendable body of work Kevin Gates has been creating since stepping foot in the rap game, and we're definitely looking forward to what Kevin Gates has on deck. These artists are featured on the project: Terrance Hines, Percy Keith, Currensy, Master P. Let us know what you think, folks.
