Meek Mill - "Burn" Feat. Big Sean: Meek Mill's “Burn” definitely created some heat when it dropped. The record dedicated to blazing was a staple for many DJs throughout the summer, and didn't experience a lack of play time.--Rose
25 Hottest Singles Of The Summer
Kanye West - "Mercy" Feat. 2 Chainz, Big Sean & Pusha T: We’re cheating a bit here as this track came out just before the summer, but this was an undeniable summer anthem. With dope verses from Big Sean and 2 Chainz, “Mercy” showed that G.O.O.D. Music’s entire roster was something to deal with.-- Bombay
2 Chainz - "Birthday Song" Feat. Kanye West: 2 Chainz' “Birthday Song” has a pretty straight-forward concept, but don't let the simple lyrics (“she got a big booty, so I call her big booty”) fool you. This song is a straight banger. On a sidenote, 2 Chainz' wish came true at his recent birthday bash, he not only got one but TWO big booty hoes. --Rose
Nas - "Accident Murderers" Feat. Rick Ross: Ross might be even better on features than he is on his own joints, and there’s something about collaborating with Nas that brings out the best in Rozay (see: “Triple Beam Dreams”). With a hook that plays more like a verse, both Nasir and The Boss go in on this track.-- Bombay
Pusha T - "Exodus 23:1" Feat. The-Dream: Pusha T's diss track didn't go unnoticed by many. It stayed in the news for weeks, and Lil Wayne seemed to accept the beef when he released his own diss towards 1/2 of Clipse. Although Weezy fell short of the mark on "Ghoulish," Pusha's Biggie-sampled and Dream-featured record has bars to spare and solid production.--Rose
Big Sean, Jay-Z & Kanye West - "Clique": We're not usually advocates of cliques, but this is definitely a clique we'd like to be apart of. Big Sean, Jay-Z and Kanye West rap about the benefits of being part of their crew, which, as Hov says, includes the likes of Bey and Rihanna/profile/" target="_blank">Rih Rih.--Rose
Cory Gunz - "Foreign": Cory Gunz flows over this laid back smooth track, which moves slow and deliberate you might think you popped on the chopped and screwed version. This tune goes perfect with lean, or green. -- Bombay
Hopsin - "Ill Mind of Hopsin 5": Hopsin is never one to shy away from controversy, and on "Ill Mind of Hopsin 5" he voices many faults he finds in today's generation with such realness it's almost shocking. We don't hear many rappers saying this kinda shit, so we have to give him props. Not to mention the beat goes hard.--Rose
50 Cent - "New Day" Feat. Alicia Keys & Dr. Dre: Fif's had a few hits and a few misses recently, but with his upcoming album, Street King Immortal, on the way, we're hoping for a hit. All signs are pointing to yes, if "New Day" is any indication. Marching drums back the impressive instrumental, with AK providing the hook.--Rose
