Villain Park has been dead quiet since they put out the highly promising Same Ol Shit EP in October 2015. The Los Angeles quartet (which may or may not have downsized to a duo) made their triumphant return yesterday with "Regretz."
Sometimes less is more. Smoke Dawg crafts a smoky, effective groove by pitting a simple bass guitar groove against icy bell hits. The dudes of Villain Park continue to display promise. As the great Pete Rock once said, play dis only at night.
