Doncic and Young were both traded for each other.

Luka Doncic has been absolutely tearing up the NBA this year thanks to his step-back three and his exciting style of play. While Doncic has been great, so has Trae Young, who is a rookie with the Atlanta Hawks. What makes the two players interesting, is how they were traded for each other on draft day after the Hawks took Doncic with the third overall pick in the draft. Recently, Young appeared on ESPN's The Jump where he was asked about who the better player will be in a few years.

"In my eyes, it's not a question -- it's going to be me," Young said. "But that's just the competitive nature in my blood, and I think that's the no-brainer with me."

Young has been averaging 16.4 points per game this season in comparison to Doncic who averages 20.5. Young recognized that Luka is having a great season and that both teams are happy with who they got in the trade.

"Luka's having a really good year so far. And for me, all I do is try to focus on myself and my team. I know it's easy to say, but I'm really dedicated to working extremely hard every day for my teammates and things like that," Young explained. "And I think at the end of the day it worked out for both teams. That's how I look at it. I mean, Luka's doing really well. I feel like I'm doing really well as well."

The Hawks are currently 16-33 this season and are ranked 12th in the Eastern Conference.
