Toronto native Tim North has returned with a brand-new track to kick off his 2018, rolling with some smooth synth vibes in "Ever Since." Produced by Urstruli, who has previously worked with 88GLAM, the track's cool textures fit well with what has become the hallmark Toronto sound. Tim North had himself a breakout year in 2017, with his song "F**k Luck" garnering millions of views on Spotify and continues to carry some industry buzz with it into this year.
With his debut EP set to drop in April, it sounds like this effort from North came together relatively seamlessly. "This joint came together [with] my guy UrsTruli super easy," he told us. "I was trying to embrace the strength of when a girl gains independence, and maybe leaves a bad situation - spreading her wings, meeting new people and all that, but tell it all from a lighter angle [...] This is kind of a song about that free-state of mind, appreciating the independence that comes along with life's more fleeting relationships. People can see them as something negative, but I don't agree with that. A crazy night or two can really help shape us into who we are."
