Even though hip-hop is a genre that's very open to angry music, rappers rarely sound as pissed off as Retch does in the opening bars of his new track "Gunz Gon Blow." Sounding like he's flexing every muscle in his face, Retchy comes out of the gate foaming at the mouth, going in over Black Pearl's contrastingly chilled-out production.
Even though the watery synths imbue the track with a blunted air, there's still an underlying feeling of dread that echoes Retchy's ominous lyrics about guns going off. Seriously, this is some of the most blood chillingly dark rap you'll hear all month.
